Cambridge-Stanford Addiction Policy Forum

The Stanford Network on Addiction Policy is partnering with Cambridge University and The Police Foundation to launch a British network of policymakers, policy analysts, and scientists. The Cambridge-Stanford Addiction Policy Forum held its first meeting on April 9-10 at King's College, Cambridge. The Forum featured vigorous discussions of the role of evidence in public policy making, the rise of Internet-mediated addictions, and the impact of addiction on the health care and criminal justice systems (See Lord Bethell's reflections on the meeting here). Upcoming meetings will refine the network's focus to make substantive contributions to upcoming legislation focused on addiction in the UK.
